Hi guys, as you know, we're extremely proud to have provided the smart contract expertise to help Mindshare through an end-to-end programmatic supply chain reconciliation and push Project Proton forward. This is going to mean big things - we are essentially helping revolutionise the advertising and digital supply chain industry. Just in the test campaign alone, held in Southeast Asia in collaboration with PepsiCo, Mindshare recorded a 28% increased efficiency using smart contracts. What do you think the future of the advertising industry looks like with blockchain innovation? Some coverage highlights here:https://www.thedrum.com/news/2019/05/06/pepsico-and-mindshare-programmatic-blockchain-test-drives-28-efficiency-lifthttps://www.btcwires.com/c-buzz/pepsico-mindshares-programmatic-blockchain-test-drives-increased-28-efficiency/
A note from the leadership team : 2019 has been quite a year! From launching the mainnet and developing a smart contract language - to driving mass adoption and forging impactful partnerships across a variety of sectors - it's been a crazy ride. With such milestones under our belt and many more on the horizon, our leaders have had a chance to reflect on the way forward. After a wonderful journey, Xinshu will be taking a step back from day-to-day operations to focus more on strategy as a Director of the board. Amrit will assume the position of President in addition to his role as Chief Scientific Officer, overseeing the overall management and operating responsibilities of Zilliqa. Co-Founders Max, Yaoqi, Prateek and Juzar continue to provide strategic guidance and leadership, as they have always done. As Zilliqa grows, so does our incredibly diverse and talented team, who are the heart of everything we do. We continue to plan for more growth and more meaningful engagement with our community and the industry. As we embrace all the adventures ahead, we would like to thank our amazing community - your support means everything to us. Let's make Zilliqa community engagement more professional and effectiveDear all,We would like to thank you all for your engaging participation in the ZILLIQA ecosystem, driving us forward and helping us along our journey of becoming a strong, game-changing player in the blockchain industry over the past two years. While our technology is now in a fantastic place,  we recognise the need to ramp up marketing and communications that captures the relevance and importance of the infrastructure. As such, we are in the midst of making changes to expand our reach. So fret not, we’re only just getting started. Over the past few weeks, we celebrated the historic launch of smart contracts and announced our partnership with Xfers, a partner who recognise the value that our blockchain can bring about to the global payments ecosystem. We also unveiled our newly designed accelerator programme, ZILHive, which we designed in collaboration with our ecosystem partner, LongHash. We deeply appreciate your support through our growth.  However, as a young company in this volatile, fast-changing industry - carving out a position for oneself often has a few hit-and-misses. We do acknowledge all your concerns and comments that were received following ZILLIQA Day 2019, and would like to emphasise that where feedback and critiques are constructive and well-meaning they are always (and will always be) received well by this team.In response to some of the feedback - some of you have felt that the hype > the announcement, whereas others have stated that there wasn’t enough hype. At Zilliqa, we have always believed that technology building is far more important and speaks for itself. However, you can rest assured that we will aggressively drive messages about progress through branding, marketing and communication in the coming months. We are building a stronger strategy and have boosted the expertise within our team in recent weeks. We may not necessarily always discuss the fine-print of these strategies externally, but you will definitely see the results. There are already a number of initiatives in the pipeline to help us function smoother, better -  and where needed - communicate louder. Keeping our larger mission and vision as our guiding compass for everything we do, we strive to navigate the fine line between hype and effective campaigning so that everyone can benefit. This requires more meaningful dialogue between you, the community and us - Zilliqa, so that we carry forward the progress-oriented culture to all our respective extended networks. To ensure we’re on the right track here, we would like to address some issues that are hindering this goal on Telegram (Slack, Twitter, and Reddit as well), and have issued some guidelines to make this a constructive, safe and professional space for everyone. (1) Always respect our team - There's always a way to convey messages politely, so let's all do that, s'il vous plait. I cannot stress this enough. Use appropriate and courteous discourse, tone and language. Foul language, swearing, unwarranted accusations and targeted attacks will not be tolerated.  This may be an open community but absolutely has to be an inclusive one. Please remember that.Technology thrives in global culture and society - as do all talented people. We will not accept crude remarks on people's appearances and accents. Moving forward, we will keep your feedback in mind and look into filling any communication gaps while ensuring that our partners still have a platform and authentic voice with us - this is of critical importance to Zilliqa. For instance, we will look into how we can make our presentations more useful and informative for you, and how we can utilise a range of speakers or even video content as updates. Moving ahead, we will block off malicious, targeted and unfounded remarks. This is not meant to dissuade participation, but rather to make this space more constructive. We respect some feedback and further - fully accept that there have been things we could improve. We understand it can't be all posi

tive rainbows and butterflies all the time, but be careful not to let the negative cross the lines onto  offensive. We will take action if things get out of hand.On your end, please think about what you type before you put it out there - and know that we are human in spite of all our great tech :)(2) Always respect our partners. Like many of you here, they have believed in ZILLIQA enough to build on us. This is a BIG DEAL. We don't take this lightly. Every company brings in a unique value proposition to their market - and if they believe our infrastructure can boost that - we're fully on board and geared up to power them with $ZIL. Adoption goes a long way with trust in each other, and together we will make the world a better place with b-commerce on ZILLIQA.Working with Xfers to us is a great example of this progress, which has been made possible with our unique smart contracts technology. It is a fantastic company that can bring crypto-adoption to millions. With this project is at its early stage, we will be able to reveal more details of this collaboration in the coming months - I am sure you’ll see the value for yourself. Equally, we also grateful and thrilled to be working with our partners gaming and entertainment industries such as Krypton and Ethermon, who unveiled some great demos just last week. Hats off their hard work! (3) Please respect the general rules. Keep discussions relevant to the group you are posting on. If there's a lot of price or mining talk from new members who may not understand the rules - help our CMs convey this by directing the discussion elsewhere (such as @ZilliqaCommunity and @ZilliqaMiners). This ecosystem will thus be a more effective and manageable if we all adhere to these simple rules.(4) Say no to fake news. Creating excessive hype to fuel temporary price pumps has actually been suggested as a strategy to us. Well - that’s not how Zilliqa chooses to operate. We have been extremely clear on the fact that we are not currently working with Facebook on any projects. When it comes to such news, you should believe the news you get from reliable sources (a.k.a - US!) rather than those you read from third-party blogs and conspiracy theories floating around the crypto ecosystem and twitterverse. When we say we are not working on something, we don’t want you to read ‘in between the lines’. There’s nothing there! (5) Transparency Vs. Privacy. This is a delicate issue that every organisation - no matter how small or large - must navigate. Zilliqa is no different. Adding on to point (4), I’d like to stress that when we do have an update for the community, you can trust that we want to share news with you and be as transparent as possible. However, while we build public blockchain infrastructure - remember that not all projects are up for public discussion from the get-go. We cannot sacrifice the trust we share with partners when we are in the initial stages of understanding their needs and managing a new project. We make it our utmost priority never to breach confidentiality and overlook legal terms and conditions in favor of marketing buzz and hype. On your part, you can help us by making sure you’re not one of those people spreading rumors or encouraging misinformation. These are all unsustainable roads to success and gimmicks, and we don’t want any part of it. This brings me to the final point.(6) Be patient. Asking us for updates every single day is not going to get you the updates. We cannot have significant developments on each of our projects every day - that’s simply unrealistic! Sharing such updates requires more than me just putting out a tweet or a blogpost. It requires accurate internal research, collaboration with and approvals from partners and a detailed senior team discussion on strategy. Please do consider this the next time you ask us or our CMs for a timeline or an update.  We appreciate how fast-paced and stressful the crypto and blockchain world can be for those following, supporting, working and investing in it. But I have no doubt that it can also be

respectful and professional. Let us all partake in meaningful discussions with one another by using the pointers above and #ProgressWithZIL !Thank you for your understanding and long-standing support.Regards,Aparna

Technical Update 30 July 2019: Hello all, here’s your three-point summary on our latest technical update:Improvements in core tech and scilla underway: To enhance efficiency and robustness of the platform, the team is making modifications to the core C++ source code and  the internal scripts and utilities which are part of the infrastructure. The next version is likely to include several security and functional improvements. In order to mitigate I/O bottlenecks within the scilla interpreter, the team has been restructuring the infrastructure, and adding new folds and functions. Revamping wallet contract: the team is rewriting wallet contracts to include better security features. These will be added to a repository of contract templates which developers can use for inspiration. Development of Ledger support: We are reworking the ledger app code to support more features, based on initial feedback received from the ledger team. For more, you can refer to: https://blog.zilliqa.com/zilliqa-technical-blog-30-july-b2f44032adbf

Dear Zilliqans,We have both good and ‘bad’ news. The good news:Our new website is almost ready to be launched. The ‘bad’ news:We decided not to launch this Saturday (31 August). The reason:Since we started working on our new website - roughly 1.5 months ago - Zilliqa made good progress on many different levels. As a result of this, the content creation became quite intense, requiring inputs from various parties. Nevertheless, we’ve managed to stay on track with this. However, now that the website is almost ready, we’ve had to make a choice: just push the ‘Publish’ button, close our eyes, and see what happens….or….. take some extra days to carefully manage detailed final reviews, pre-launch testing, and possible refinements based upon our findings. We have chosen the latter option, to ensure high quality and user experience. The launch of the new website is rescheduled for Friday 6 September. Not to leave you empty handed, we will be sharing a couple of previews later this week, such as the page about our Mindshare partnership and the Research and Development Roadmap Q3 2019 - Q2 2020. Both are good examples of what you can expect next week. We aim to share these as live pages, instead of screenshots, to give you the real user experience. We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope you’ll agree on our decision to prioritise quality over speed.Regards,The Zilliqa team
